Heather is a native of Minneapolis, MN. In 1993, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating from college, she went to law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago and in 1995, just after two and half years, Heather M. Nelson earned her J.D.! Ms Nelson's legal career began as an associate with Donald Hubert & Associates where she practiced in the areas of high profile, complex civil and criminal litigation and ethics work. During that time she also began to develop an entertainment practice of her own. Due to the increasing demands of her entertainment practice, early 1998 saw this dynamic legal diva opening the Law Office of Heather M. Nelson. Her current practice concentrates in the areas of Entertainment Law and Criminal Litigation. The Law Office of Heather M. In addition to her law practice, Ms Nelson also participates on numerous entertainment conference panels and is an instructor at Columbia College in Chicago where she teaches "Legal Aspects of the Arts and Entertainment Industries."
